The Creative Economy
On Tuesday, December 9 from 8:30AM-9:30AM at The Tang Teaching Museum, "The Regional Alliance for a Creative Economy” led by the Center for Economic Growth and the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, will be giving a report on the results of a major study that assess the size and impact of the Creative Economy in our eight-county Capital Region. Karen Bilowith, the President and CEO of the Community Foundation for the Capital Region will be the lead speaker.
New York State recognizes the impact the arts have on local communities and points to the arts as a component of the state’s new Economic Revitalization Plan. The state uses the phrase “Creative Economy” when talking about the contributions of the state’s arts and cultural organizations, as well as individual artists. View the Flyer
Plans for 2015
SaratogaArtsFest is pleased to announce we will be “bringing the arts together” again in June 2015.
We are also excited to be celebrating the Saratoga Springs’ Centennial Celebration in 2015. The enhanced arts experiences in Saratoga Springs during the Centennial Year are a vital aspect of the Celebration – and SaratogaArtsFest is thrilled to be involved in the year-long event!
We anticipate some changes for 2015, so please watch for an updated website, follow us on Facebook or Twitter, and join our email list for up to date notices. Please keep the conversation going and share your thoughts about SaratogaArtsFest in 2015 and beyond. We want to hear from you.
